How to create and burn an ISO file

To create an .iso file use the command mkisofs like this:

mkisofs -f -R -r -l -J -V volumeid -o destination_filename temporary_iso_directory

To mount an .iso image file write:

mount -t iso9660 -o loop name.iso /mnt/temporary_directory

Please note that the opened .iso files will be only readable and not writeable.

To burn an .iso image file to cd:

cdrecord -v -pad speed=1 dev=0,0,0 /path/of/the/iso
